Early in the first national lockdown, I became aware that my position, along with that of many of my peers, resembled the state of being becalmed at sea. Without momentum, the force that keeps an object moving or an event developing, one finds themselves at the mercy of cross currents. In the 'doldrums' (or 'unwise tantrums’) there is a dangerous tendency to lurch between extremes, pulled high and low by the tides.

For me, this new lockdown trajectory mirrored the transient nature of agency, generosity and containment present in collaborative partnerships and family relationships, a subject I have been repeatedly circling since 2014.

Consequently, this collection of images explore cluster, isolation, visibility and communication.
