In the first national lockdown, daily living was akin to the state of being becalmed at
sea. Without momentum at the mercy of cross currents, inhabiting the 'doldrums'
(or 'unwise tantrums’) where there is a dangerous tendency to lurch between extremes,
pulled high and low by the tides. This alien trajectory mirrored a subject I have been
repeatedly circling since 2014, namely, the transient nature of agency, generosity and
containment present in collaborative partnerships and family relationships. This
collection of images explores; cluster, isolation, visibility and communication.
